It's the end of the road...at least for now! Season 2 comes to a close with the guys and I finally making it to Traverse City.
We get slammed with a rain storm and my bike breaks down once again, but we hobble our way into town to get that well deserved ice cream.
I just want to say thanks to all of you who have followed along with the Crusty series. We had a lot of fun with season 2 and we hope you did too.
We've gone and made some bonus content on the Patreon where we talk about what happened to our bikes after the trip as well as where and what we'd like to do for season 3.
Releasing the Crusty Crusaders series through the DogCat channel was a collaboration with Bayonet Media which is the production company I used to work for full time and now freelance for.
Bayonet helped me start the DogCat channel and also financially backed CC Season 2. Since most of our efforts were geared toward the DCMV channel, we decided we'd try and combine the two to see if we could gain a larger viewership for Crusty. It ended up getting more attention, but it also caused several subscribers to leave the DCMV channel since it wasn't van related content.
Moving forward we're still going to go on our Crusty Crusader trips, but us documenting it for everyone to see is still up in the air as well as where we will be releasing the content if we end up making it.
Being able to pay for the trips ourselves isn't a big deal. Filming the entire thing, editing it together, and releasing it on YouTube is a massive undertaking and we won't be able to do it again without a little financial backing to pay a filmer and an editor.
We've gone and created a little merchandise page to help raise some funds for the next trip and any one who remains or joins the Patreon will also be helping.
