Camping next to the ocean is a relaxing experience - listening to the sounds of the waves, and chirping insects as you fall asleep. In this video we share with you where and how we camped in Chiba (千葉県) and the beautiful attraction of Mt. Nokogiri (鋸山).
The Chiba region is only a 40 minute trip across Tokyo bay aboard the Tokyo-Wan ferry. It costs 900 yen per person per way - but it’s also just as easy to get to this region by taking trains.
We took local trains to the town of Tomiura (富浦) and took a bus to Cape Daibusa (大房岬) where we camped in the state forest’s campground. It was a wonderful, kid-friendly, cheap campground, with plenty of amenities that only cost ￥650 per night.
