Today I'm with my friend Noni and her son Saffaras in Aceh, Sumatra, catching wild sea snails in the Indian Ocean! Rendang is a classic Indonesian dish, and this is one of the most unique kind of rendang's you can make on planet earth. Typically it's made with beef, although you can use chicken, egg, octopus, tofu, or anything really. The types of sea snails we're looking for are called "Mata Lemo" and "Kaki Lima", found on the reef at low tide.
