A viewer sent me this Sega Game Gear as a parts-only donor. It had already been recapped, but it still won’t power on properly… so what’s actually wrong with it?
Normally, replacing the capacitors fixes most Game Gear problems, but this one stayed completely dead. Taking a closer look, the previous recap job was a bit rough: the board was still covered in old electrolyte and some joints looked questionable.
