As the host of the Junior Christian Teaching Bible Lesson Program, David Liebe Hart became about as well known as a public-access personality could. With his psychedelic, surreal and sometimes unsettling performances (incorporating puppets, songs and green screen), David made himself memorable to anyone who came across him. Two such people were Tim and Eric, who would go on to use him often, in their many projects, to great comic effect. There's a debate on how much of David is a crafted persona, which I attempted to try to get to the bottom of in this. However, David had far too many complaints to get in and I barely got a word in edge-ways. This final part of my LucasArts trilogy takes an in-depth look at the innovative iMUSE system. iMUSE was instrumental to the development of dynamic and interactive music through the 90s, and I welcome back Peter McConnell and Clint Bajakian to discuss its impact. Im also pleased to present more insight from the incomparable George Sanger, who wrote dynamic soundtracks for games like Capture the Flag and Wing Commander (before the creation of iMUSE). Along the way, all three guests take an extended look at PC sound chips, and how they evolved across the digital audio revolution.
Im very pleased to present this jam-packed conclusion to a long and rewarding series of LucasArts podcasts. Its been some time in the making, but Im back! Expect more Sound Test documentaries in the future, including further insight from George and Clint. My next episode will concentrate on the music of thatgamecompany, with their principle composers - Vincent Diamante and Austin Wintory.

This second part of The Binding of Isaacs musical story moves into its remake, Rebirth. This version of the game received a makeover in practically every area, including music. Its new soundtrack by RIDICULON took a different path to Danny Baranowskys, but hit the nail on the head in brand new ways. When Super Meat Boy hit its fifth anniversary, and saw new ports for fresh consoles, the decision was made to give it a musical respray. After Danny Baranowsky, who wrote the games original OST, and Team Meat had parted ways, RIDICULON became the obvious choice for the job. Along with David Scattle Scatliffe and Laura Shigihara, the four composed music that stood on its own and reinterpreted the tone of gameplay. Here, Jon Evans and Matthias Bossi (who together form RIDICULON) join me to discuss Super Meat Boys 5th Anniversary soundtrack.
