This footage shows a large male Scottish wildcat being studied as part of a conservation project to save pure breed wildcats from extinction. The individual was trapped to both assess his purity and to fit a radio tracking collar. This will allow scientists to learn more about the behaviour of Scottish wildcats and the interactions between wildcats, domestic cats and hybrid cats.
