Dive into Sea Power as we take our first look at the legendary Scinfaxi and Hrimfaxi from Ace Combat, now brought into one of the most detailed modern naval warfare simulators.
Based on the massive Soviet Typhoon-class SSBN, these colossal 365,000-ton super submarines are armed with an incredible arsenal, including R-39U MIRV nuclear SLBMs, fictional BR-K cluster-warhead SLBMs, P-700 Granit supersonic anti-ship missiles, Gauntlet surface-to-air missiles, CIWS, heavyweight torpedoes, anti-submarine weapons, and even an embarked air wing of Harriers, F-35Bs, and submarine-launched UAVs.
In this ultimate alternate history naval battle, these two super submarines face the entire combat-ready U.S. Navy in a fictional 1986 Pacific War. Their opponents include four Nimitz-class Carrier Strike Groups, complete with escorts, submarines, naval aviation, and overwhelming firepower.
Can the iconic Ace Combat superweapons overcome the full might of the U.S. fleet, or will American naval supremacy prevail?
