Who would win in a full-scale conflict between the United States Navy and the combined European navies? In Part 1 of this large-scale war game series, we use DCS World to simulate the naval air power of both sides and determine which force holds the advantage in modern aerial combat.
The US Navy deploys an impressive force of 550 F/A-18E/F Super Hornets and 105 F-35C Lightning II stealth fighters, armed with advanced weapons including the AIM-120D3 AMRAAM, AIM-174B, and AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles.
Facing them are the combined naval aviation assets of Europe, including British and Italian F-35Bs, French Rafales, and Spanish and Italian AV-8B Harrier II+ aircraft. These fighters are equipped with some of the world's most capable air-to-air missiles, including the Meteor, MICA, AIM-120C, AIM-9X, and ASRAAM.
