All aboard! Please join me for this scenic train ride through the Pennsylvania countryside on the Colebrookdale Railroad in Boyertown, PA. I was given a private tour of all the train cars, which are restored to their original splendor from the 1920's. The scenic rides started in 2014, but the railroad was originally built in this area in the 1860's to transport iron ore. There are different themed rides , and this one is a wine tasting ride into the Secret Valley. I stayed in the open-air car, so I could have unobstructed views. The ride is about 45 minutes each way, but due to an unexpected circumstance, we didn't make it all the way, but we still had a fun, relaxing ride on this beautiful, sunny day. For me, when it comes to trains, it's all about the journey. And, of course, what train ride would be complete without some train music!
