Sunnies follows Malcolm, a troubled and somewhat delinquent teen, who, after roaming the streets of his neighbourhood, decides to steal a pair of sunglasses from the local shops - an act that is later revealed to be part of a much bigger plan.

Sunnies won the CILECT CAPA Prize (jointly awarded) for Best Fictional Short in Asia-Pacific, Best Screenwriter at CinefestOz, and Best Film at Saint-Tropez Film Festival. Following its premiere at the Sydney Film Festival in 2021, Sunnies was selected for the LA Shorts International Film Festival, the Short Shorts Film Festival Japan, the Asinabka Film & Media Arts Festival Canada, the Flickerfest International Short Film Festival, and more.
