A Cambodian-Australian man, who makes and performs shadow puppetry for his local temple, is invited to go onto television to perform a show from his repertoire. At first, he is hesitant, but wanting to connect to his daughter from whom he is estranged, he decides to appear on the show. Unbeknownst to everyone, he is hiding a secret from his past which is revealed during his performance on live television.
