This guy has been frequenting this bush for days now. He is actually much more deep red; the slightly orange color is not realistic. Sorry for the audio: I shot it from indoors.

$Another Pond Time Lapse Video This one starts just after dawn: watch the shadows of the trees move across the water. Also note that at the start of the movie, the combination of the pollen on the water and the angle of the sun makes the pollen take on different color hues from near to far, a reflection/diffraction effect related to how rainbows work. The middle of the pod seems more red while the far section is more green. As the movie progresses, the differences in color diminish. The color cast is real: it is not an anomaly created in the camera or by post processing.$
