Also note that at the start of the movie, the combination of the pollen on the water and the angle of the sun makes the pollen take on different color hues from near to far, a reflection/diffraction effect related to how rainbows work. The middle of the pod seems more red while the far section is more green.
As the movie progresses, the differences in color diminish. The color cast is real: it is not an anomaly created in the camera or by post processing.
