Wearing sensible shoes is a big deal here in Chapala, Jalisco Mexico as well as many other ciudades and pueblos with cobblestones streets and gravel roads. In the two and a half years that I’ve lived here in Mexico, I’ve managed to fall twice. Thank God I didn’t break anything. But that has given me cause to pause and be intentional regarding footwear here in Mexico.

During my trip back to the USA, I’ve going surfing in my closet to see which low-heeled, nonskid shoes I am packing and bringing back to Mexico. I’ve worn out two pair of flats that have to be replaced.

In this video, I am sharing which pairs made the list for style and sensible soles to consider.
