Sansui G-9000 night. I rotate equipment weekly in the man cave and my prized possession is in use tonight after a 6 month hiatus. 160WPC.
Audio jewelry, excellent engineering, and superb performance from a 46 year old unit based on serial #.
Interestingly, I’ve seen these come down in value because the Pioneer SX-1980 (270 WPC) and the somewhat unobtanium Technics SA-1000 (330WPC) seem to be preferred.
That said, every Sansui from the 70’s are like golden retrievers in my opinion. They simply work well and please the owner. And usually unrestored!! Including the Sansui 771, 881, 8080DB. I have a friend who has a 1000x which also sounds amazing.
Say goodbye to summer for those with kids! I’ll see you all again soon with a different setup.
