Greetings friends.
I have two similar Technics receivers hooked up and am running each for a while this weekend.
Top one which is playing is the Technics SA-GX500, 1990, 80WPC, Dolby Surround.
Bottom one is a Technics SA-GX530, 1992, 65WPC, Dolby Pro Logic w/center channel.
These are end of the line for an era with Technics as future models would not have all the lights, bells, and whistles as these models do.
Both have:
-A/V switching functionality
-Spectrum analyzers
-Parametric equalizers
-Remote control capability
-Jog dial tuner
-STK chip amplifiers
These are very similar to each other but have their differences.
Both have a similar sound profile and quality. While each one is getting a workout, I did initially compare them with the same source and speakers.
