Surprise upload for Sanctuary! This one is fast-paced and has a lot going on. This is for Nana Wakagimi's (@nanawakagimi1208) RP Sanctuary!
I want to thank LadyoftheSea (@ladyofthesea5285), CasualLove (@casuallove3189 ), SpaceMeta (@SpaceMeta95 ), and PinkDragon (@Pinkpapayadragon ) for all plotting with me. I loved collaborating with you this round, and I'm really glad to have created some tense and heartfelt scenes with you guys!
~STORY POINTS~
Eduardo is faced with the difficult task of helping heal William with the lack of a Med (Jakob). Despite being roughed up, Cyra insists on helping and they brainstorm together before getting Alex to help them. After a barbaric and amateurish job of pulling the arrow and using water and fire to cauterize, Ed, Cyra, and Alex managed to help William. He comes to, thanking the group, as Ed (kindly) warns him to take it easy.
With everyone on their feet, Ariana and Alex are joined by the newcomer, Daniel. (Much to Ed's embarrassment, considering he found the Companion on display during the Harvest Day cute. Best to avoid fumbling around him...)
Eduardo worries for his family back home, particularly Karina, who could end up like him. He pushes these worries down as the group meets Valentino and are welcomed into Jericho. The group is led underground and are greeted by the underground city. A happy community mills about, going about their lives, maybe oblivious to the going-ons of Kaidan.
William approaches and thanks Ed again for his help, acknowledging that while he isn't "a Med," he indeed does heal wherever he goes despite it. The two talk about potential futures in Jericho, William seeing it as a new start while Ed vocalizes his fears of leaving everything behind. William sympathizes since it is a big change. They grab some food together, when Axel notices Ed admiring the stands.
Ed and Axel comment and chat about the foreign cuisine. Axel prods about Ed's thoughts on Jericho, the latter voicing his hesitation. Ed turns the question on Axel, who admits his own insecurities, believing he lacks talent where others don't. Ed points out that Axel does have a talent: his words, and how they have an effect on people. Ed encourages Axel to consider such a talent and to pursue places where he might be able to use it. They even start thinking up a food stand they could start together.
After grabbing more food with Axel, Ed comes across Cyra who is worse for wear. While he doesn't pry, Ed shares a snack with her before offering to give her a hug. She cries in the fragility of the moment, which Ed promises to keep to himself. But he's happy he was able to bring comfort to his friend.
The two then see a fight breaking out, leading to them finding a confrontation between Ariana and Daniel. Ariana has been wanting to start a revolution against Kaidan, but is showing hesitation. Daniel voices his upset at this, as the group show their shock, before giving a mix of anger or approval. Before anymore fighting can happen, a sharp ring fills the area as Ed starts to remember something he shouldn't.
On the day of the original Mutt outbreak, Ed was caught in the middle of the fire before he comes across his dad. Ed voices his alarm at the violence, as Manuel urges that they "find the girls and head home." Before they can, they are approached by Cristian, Ed's uncle and Manuel's brother in-law and long-time friend. Originally, a desultory like Ed, he now sports red eyes. Manuel is alarmed by this, taking the situation into his own hands as his paranoia causes him to push Cristian into the firing line. Ed's image of his father is shattered, being raised to protect and save life and seeing that all thrown to the flames. Manuel insists it was the right thing to do, but Ed isn't so sure.
Ed comes back to the present, just in time to see Ariana grab a device and hurtle everyone present to somewhere else.
