Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner is one of his contributions to the Lyrical Ballads. Unlike Wordsworth's poems, which made nature supernatural, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner constructs a supernatural tale with ostensibly Christian symbols about an ocean voyage to 'hell' and back.
