I started working on an afghan years ago using this soft and squishy favorite of mine, Lion Brand Wool Ease yeeeeaaaaarrrrs ago! Half way done and into one of my WIP bins it went...

Fast forward, I've been on a clearing out old WIPs kick and so I pulled out the yarn and afghan squares I had started so I could finish up, but as I worked, I found that I didn't really like the look of the squares, and I just couldn't bring myself to keep going 😔

I set the squares aside to pop into a bag and sell in my Yarn Crafts and Coffee shop over at America's Antique Mall in Melbourne, Florida, and gathered up the rest of the yarn. With such a large quantity, I knew a blanket would be the perfect project.

I've been inspired by this bag to work up an afghan highlighting the same 6 stitch patterns starting with half double crochet. Working in a solid color is my favorite way as it really lets the texture be the star of the show.
