In Part 1, I shared an overview of the continuous join. Today, we start crocheting our squares together!
✨️ SC = US Single Crochet
✨️ Start off by taking note as to where the join is from your squares. For a consistent appearance throughout, you'll want to make sure you position your squares in the same direction - I have my join at the bottom.
💙 Starting with your bottom right square, attach the yarn colorway you'll use for the join in the single crochet that is just above the bottom right chain space.
✨️ You can attach your yarn by tying it on, then chaining 1, or you can start with a slip knot on your crochet hook.
💙 SC into this SC and into each SC up to the next corner chain space. In the chain space, work (SC, chain 2, SC), same as we've done before.
💙 Continue in the same manner. SC into each SC along the top of the current square, (SC, chain 2, SC) into the next corner chain space, SC into each SC along the side of the current square, SC into the next corner chain space.
💙 Now, it's time to connect to your next square. Grab the next square that will be to the left of the first square, lay it out matching the same position as the first square, and work a single crochet into the bottom right corner chain space of this next square.
✨️ In Part 3, we'll begin with the Pull Loop Through, or PLT, Join method.
