A slight restoration I did last night with a Salty's Lighthouse VHS capture I've had on my computer for a while now. My goal was to make it look more like DVD footage- rather than VHS. Here are the parameters I used:
NOISE REDUCTION THRESHOLD: 0.30
COLOR CORRECTION:
Bright: 10
Contrast: 15
Saturation: 30
Red Gain: -30
Green Gain: -10
Blue Gain: 20
SHARPEN: 0.10
I wanted to de-interlace the footage, but supposedly I can't de-interlace and have DNR at the same time. A fix for that is to do it to the same video, but once at a time in separate projects. Also, those parameters are set for Pinnacle Studio (some of those features are only available in Ultimate version, the reason for the Pinnacle watermark), and also, don't expect this to do wonder for your captures, as each tape plays differently.
