A little test here, converting Tugs footage from its original PAL format to NTSC, yet retaining the original 25p frame rate. As some of you guys know, PAL runs at 25 frames a second, and NTSC runs at 29.97. When converting, there are a couple different ways to convert the frame rate, one way is using pulldown which is alright, but it creates ghosting. Another way, which I prefer slightly over pulldown, is duplicating one in every 5 frames to make 6. I have yet to burn a DVD inthis format though, 480p25. It should be possible, since many commercial DVDs do in fact run at 25 frames a second (yes, in NTSC land).
