I've been doing a lot of audio experiments in the last few weeks, and the Tugs audio proved to be quite a challenge, seeing as it is mono audio from 20+ year old VHS tapes. Making a stereo mix is pretty much out of the question, since channel panning shifts all three aspects of the audio at once (dialogue, music, and sound effects). I have, however, been successful is reducing white audio and making the audio overall less 'flat' by making three copies of the mono audio track in the same project, one centered, one with a 75% left dominance, and one with a 75% right dominance. The audio was captured and edited as PCM, but has been sampled down for YouTube.
