I got the Chrome Crank Top Grider kits from Prokraft in the UK. They buy kits that are more suitable for UK makers as these are all based around metric measurements meaning that most tools people will have and if not easily available to purchase.
This is a ceramic grinder which is much more hard wearing than the standard type. The video shows where I make one using a piece of Walnut. The main bore through the wood is at 25mm with the end plates requiring a 38mm hole to fit in. These were turned to size as they are not deep and quick to do with a skew / scraper.
A simple shape with the inside sanded to 400 grit. The outside was sanded to 240, sanding sealer, Yorkshire Grit and finished with Microcrystaline Wax.
