Today it is my great pleasure and honour to present the new Saidan album, Fangdriller: Scars Beneath Memories Wrist.

Fangdriller is the fourth studio album from multi-instrumentalist Splatterpvnk and drummer Hundosai, joined now by a supporting cast of Ravenna on bass and Luthious on guitar, who have been tearing up the live circuit as a full band, captured here in their distinct sound of hi-octane melodicism, Japanese horror-thematics and visceral energy.

The opening track is a neat call-back to the previous albums and the story of student Junko, instantly wrapping the narrative thread around the listener, to whip them through the album until the climactic Beat to Death pushes the psychotic euphoria to breaking.

The story finds Junko in the depths of loneliness and isolation, comforted by a mysterious cult called Ethereal Blood, who have sought out her anguished seclusion as a perfect victim; a tale once again illustrated by the evocative cover art of Japanese visual artist Seiyak17.

The album is released in full today, 19th June, through Avantgarde Music in CD, LP and digital formats. My tape already arrived, and it is going to soundtrack my Summer, hard.
