I picked this game up for $3.49 on a Steam sale. Ryse was a launch game for the Xbox One, and is an underrated action game that has it's own unique combat style, and a short length. On the consoles, it was an Xbox One Exclusive, but was also ported to the PC. I really enjoyed my time with this game. It is definitely one of the best $3.49 Steam purchases I ever made
Now, it doesn't run the best on my PC. The framerate can go from 60 fps to the 30's at the drop of a hat, but even when lowering the internal display resolution, is still does this. My PC may be lower than mid range for modern gaming, but it should be able to run an Xbox One launch game no problem. changing the settings doesn't seem to change the shifting framerate, so maybe it's the port itself, or maybe it just doesn't like my system hardware. Either way, for a single player game, I don't mind a variable framerate. I know it has online features, but I haven't looked into the online play as of yet.
Overall, it's a solid title from the little I have played of it. Not a bad buy, especially for the price.
NOTE: I am playing with an Xbox One controller in this footage.
