The Sega Genesis version of Tournament Edition is the version I have owned since childhood. I almost never play sports games, except for the hundreds if not thousands of hours I have put into NBA Jam Tournament Edition over the years. This game is just timelessly fun no matter what era of gaming you play it in. As you can see, I have played this game so much, I know where the secret half-court sweet spot is for 3-pointers. I also remember the super-dunk code by heart, but decided not to use it for this footage:
Left,Right,A,B,B,A at the "Tonight's match-up" screen. Just hit it a bunch of times just in case.
I love NBA Jam. This is still my favorite sports game of all time. I have recently acquired the PS1 port of the game, which is excellent, but doesn't have the half-court sweet spot. It moves a lot faster, and was hard for me to get the hang of at first, but once I did, I loved playing it. The Genesis/Mega Drive version of the game will always be my comfort version of the game. All versions of the game I have personally played are fun, even the Game Gear version.
