Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator is a turn-based RPG released exclusively for the PC and was packaged with Shogo Mobil Armor Division in a double-pack game for $10 when I picked it up. It was pretty rare to see a turn-based RPG released even in 1999 when this game was first released. Usually, turn based RPG's were a console genre, whereas the PC style RPGs were more like Diablo of Baldur's Gate in nature. I am running the disk version of the game, and it still run decently on a modern windows 10 computer with a few glitches here and there, like text and vioce that scrolls really fast, and the annoying sound-popping issues in the CGI Full Motion Video sequences.
Other than that, this is the furthest I've ever played into the game. It's one of those games I always said I'll play someday. So far, I'm actually enjoying the game, even if the battle sequences can feel like a bit of a chore at times. The turn-based combat can feel a bit tedious after a while. If you're not a turn-based RPG fan, you should definitely stay clear of this one. However, if this game interests you, it is available on both Steam, and Gog for sale. This was definitely a sleeper hit that flew under the radar for it's time, but has gotten a bit more recognition in recent years. A lot of us remember it for it's cheap asking price with Shogo, and, while I haven't played very far into it myself, many people have very fond memories of playing it. It's a budget-game classic.
