President William Ruto has reiterated his call for national unity and inclusivity, urging Kenyans to remain united despite their political differences as the country’s politics intensify ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking in Zambia during the inauguration of President Hakainde Hichilema for a second term, President Ruto called on African leaders to uphold democracy while ensuring political competition does not tear nations apart.
Ruto said elections should be a contest over leadership and not a battle that divides citizens.
He warned that political competition must never escalate into national conflict, insisting that what unites citizens must always outweigh what separates them.
