Come along for a visit to Metra's "Hubbard Woods" Station in Winnetka, Illinois on the afternoon of July 9, 2026. We'll witness a variety of Union Pacific North Line (UP-N) trains at this station, all powered by EMD F40 variants in several different Metra liveries.
Hubbard Woods Station was opened by the Chicago & North Western Railway in 1943. Plans are evolving between Metra and Winnetka to rebuild this station; the rebuild would include the replacement of the pedestrian bridge, new platforms, elevators for each platform, and many other improvements.
