When you're in a city, sometimes the great outdoors means the cracked sidewalk gunked with chewed gum, spilled beer, and your occasional friendly bum. However, sometimes it's much more than that, which is exactly what running group, BlacklistLA has done in the city of Los Angeles.
Founded in 2013, BlacklistLA Run Organization aims to connect people through community, art and running. Together with a team of volunteers, BlacklistLA provides a safe, energetic environment that empowers people to discover the great city of Los Angeles in ways never done before.
BlacklistLA’s weekly events are highlighted by a Monday night art run, where on average, over 300 runners gather at 10pm and run to street art displayed around the city’s streets. Together, with G-SHOCK, we spent a night with the crew to get in on the action.

![At Home With Jesse Guglielmana
Jesse Guglielmana is a man of many talents. But according to him, words are not one of ’em. The Costa Mesa-based surfer, shaper, designer, screen printer, painter, and skater has myriad avenues of self expression. He’s a jack of all creative trades and is pretty damn good at everything, even if he doesn’t think so. As he says: “I’ve always wished that I could be really into something and just really focus on that and master that. The only way my brain has ever worked is to just obsess over something to where I don’t want to do it at all and I want to go do something else. The product of that has been me doing a lot of things, in my opinion, somewhat mediocrely, ya know [laughs]?”
While visiting Jesse in his hometown, we got a firsthand look at his day-to-day life, which usually includes some sort of surfing, skating, business, and art. And we gotta say, he’s much more pro than he lets on. Smash that play button for proof.
