Ruby's Garden is a medallion quilt, and it's built out from the center. Jenny shows how to assemble the quilt one border at a time. She then talks about quilting the top first before cutting the scallops, and demonstrates laying out the scalloped border templates along the edge of the top and marking them. The next step is to attach the bias binding to the top along the marked scalloped edge lines, then once the binding is attached to the top, the excess edge is cut off to create the scallops. After the scallops are cut, the binding is turned over and attached to the back using either hand or machine stitching.
