Our team's been busy with earthworks, piling and framing, laying the groundwork before panel installation begins.
This 130MW solar farm, near Whangārei, will be capable of producing up to 230GWh of electricity per year – that’s enough to power around half the homes in Northland! It’s also being built right next to our 200MWh battery – which can store energy for times when it is needed most.
New Zealanders want a strong, resilient and more affordable electricity system, and projects like Ruakākā Solar Farm will help keep the lights on and make power cheaper for Kiwi homes and businesses.
