Ruakākā Energy Park combines a 100-megawatt battery energy storage system (BESS) and a 130-megawatt solar farm, currently under construction, located near Marsden Point and Whangārei.

This will be Meridian's first solar farm, and will be able to produce enough electricity to power over half of Northland's homes in an average year!
