Did you know you can visit West Wind, our biggest wind farm?

Giving the public access to West Wind was an important part of Meridian’s plan when building this wind farm. The recreation area includes a viewing platform where views of the wind farm can be enjoyed, as well as walking and mountain biking tracks.

Word of warning - it can get a bit windy!

Public access to the recreation area is via Opau Road, and there's car parking for 60 cars. There may be farm livestock present - sorry, no dogs are allowed in the recreation area.
