This is part of Ship Showcase 2.0.
About this ship -
The Leo II is obscenely powerful without a bad weapon in its arsenal.
Pros
- the red weapon is almost more powerful than a Wave Cannon Shot, especially if you graze the top or bottom of the beam along the enemy.
- the blue weapon is a rapid fire bouncing laser that can fill the screen up with your bullets.
- the yellow weapon will bend at 90 degree angles and home in on enemies.
- picking up one Bit powerup gives you both Psy Bits, which also block bullets, but take care with that.
Cons
- are you kidding me? If I had to say something then when you charge your Wave Cannon the Psy Bits+ will home in on enemies decreasing your firepower and leaving your ship a little bit vulnerable.
About this stage -
You have one life and no continues to do this stage. There is no boss at the end. Ordinarily you get here by breaking the red pegs on Fine Motion in stage 5.0, and hopefully you'll get here fully powered up. Starting with nothing is rough because you have to get through two waves of four turrets that can shoot you down right at the beginning.
Since you're flying from 2163 to 2501, it's heavily implied that by sending the ship to the future gives humanity the tools they need to create the Bydo since the Force is a Bydo embryo. Talk about irony.
That Outslay snake that I flew above before the wave of Revos? Yes, you really can do that without having to position your ship between the snake's loops. I've been doing it that way since I recorded my original F-C No Miss video in 2023. Try it out.
I tried and tried and tried on R-Typer to find the safe spot in the green wave of Surge near the end and kept getting blown up, so I went with my former tactic of edging backwards and around the screen - and I still almost got shot down. Thankfully my Psy Bits+ saved me at the end of the wave.
