In this video I share how I use my fabric or textile scraps to make micro mosaic textile collage art.
I show how I select my fabric scraps, what I look for in the fabric tones and patterns, how I cut my fabric, how I attach to my base fabric including different textures and layering, and how I then stitch into the piece.
The approach I share provides lots ideas and inspiration for different ways to use fabric scraps in collage and textile art projects including ideas suitable for beginner slow stitchers or textile artists.
My micro scrap fabric collage is based on a beautiful painting by Henri Le Sidaner. It features a lovely sun dappled scene with a still life table and gorgeous gardens and house behind.
