The farther west you travel along Route 66, the more the road begins to feel like a time capsule.
In this episode of The Cactus Atlas, we leave Williams and continue west through one of the most historic stretches of Arizona's Mother Road. Along the way, we explore the remnants of old Route 66, pass surviving Burma-Shave signs that once entertained travelers across America, and follow a route filled with vintage roadside character and reminders of a different era of travel.
Our journey eventually brings us to Peach Springs, Arizona, where we settle in for the night after a day spent tracing the history and culture of one of America's most famous highways. From roadside Americana to forgotten landmarks, this stretch of Route 66 offers a fascinating look at the stories still hidden along the road.
Whether you're interested in Route 66 history, Arizona road trips, roadside attractions, historic highways, or exploring the American Southwest, this journey through Seligman and Peach Springs captures a small piece of what continues to make the Mother Road so memorable.
