Director, author and broadcaster Jonathan Miller paid us a visit in 1976. In this film he talks about what makes the Roundhouse space so unique, in particular as a theatre venue as a number of plays were performed here in the 1970s.

Ulysses returns to Ithaca after fighting in the Trojan Wars expecting a hero’s welcome, but what greets him are shifted loyalties and a fractured homeland. Following the success of Orfeo, The Royal Opera and the Roundhouse collaborate again for the first in-the-round staging of Monteverdi’s opera The Return of Ulysses.
