Now, I dont think theres much explanation needed for this. IMO the song actually has a pretty clear-cut meaning, just not easy to put into words. ^^
But basically its this. (and really, its just the whole movie plot reiterated xD)
Copper and Tod have truly found all theyve wanted in life, but to keep them, they must let go of their friendship, sacrifice those memories of their childhood. But, for some strange reason, they still hold their promises to each other true: that they would die for each other.
And as accusations of said promises broken begin to arise, so does the hatred. In the end, they prove themselves to each other, and realize that neither of them went back on their word.
Theyre still friends.
And theyd still die for each other.

Hurrah! Its finally done. Ive had this idea ever since I discovered this song. And got this movie. And I found that they both fit so well, like puzzle pieces. Above all that, its a song that actually does the epic film justice, and vice versa. I got to work on it as soon as I found a good file converter, (now my clips are in DVD quality, rejoicing yay), Thank you Wildelark for the suggestion anyway. You rock ^^
(And YES, I know I said youd probably never see Vixy again in my videos for as long as I live, but...The lyrics demanded it. Im not that happy about it either xD)
However I did work very hard on this to make it as perfect as possible. So, bon appetit, enjoy, whatever. xD

I thought I would be the first YNTV entry to be uploaded, since I was really scrambling to get this done, but noooo, apparently there are five others up before me

Ahem anyway.
This little sucker is done! Whoo. And just in time before the deadline, too. Because I have a shorter deadline than the others. Im leaving today *(Edit: Sorry I mean TOMORROW, XD) for a three-week-holiday, so that means I cant edit in that time.
OK I know what youre thinking. Effects diet my ASS, and youre right, for someone whos apparently exhausted with effects, shes sure spent a lot of time putting them in. However, I really wanted to try out the 3D effects, and so I decided to balance it out with other effects. And this song also seemed ... effecty, to me. xD OK, OK, so I just went with my instinct. Dont worry I have quite a few effectless videos in the making, just hang tight.
...In fact, I was actually hoping this would be a No Effects challenge...
But I was still just as excited when I saw wed have to make an instrumental video. Id been itching to make an instrumental for ages, but never really got around to doing it...And I panicked a fair bit because I didnt have any idea what to do xD I considered Muse stuff, then changed my mind and went for (what I thought was) the easy route.
meh, this wasnt easy, but nor was it hard, I guess... However it was downright enjoyable. I love this song. And I picked it also partially because Coldplay is one of my favorite bands and I found it absolutely blasphemous that I havent vidded to their stuff yet :O
Ooh and, also...I know we were STRONGLY encouraged to use voiceovers, and there are none in this video. Now, I did think about this, and I realized, what quotes would I put in there anyway? Some cliche, cheesy, over-used emotional bit of dialouge that everyones heard before? Not gonna happen. I decided to just let the clips speak for themselves and resonate love and life and all that other groovy jazz :]
but moving on...So, you see those pretty little effects? Like the ones at 0:43? 3D effects, baby. CatGvs video pretty much blew me away, and, well, one thing led to another. I decided to get off my lazy ass and watch a tutorial to see how it was done. I swear, mucking around with that thing was SO. Youre not going to believe this. I started rendering this, went to sleep, when I woke up IT WAS STILL RENDERING WTF XD Dear God my Vegas is slow.
Oh, and I got a bit lazy towards the end...hope it isnt too noticeable ^^

Heh...For some reason I REALLY love the El Dorado parts, probably because the movie is my current drug (and so is the pairing, but thats besides the point X3)
PS/ I actually never thought that the scene with Kiara & Kovu in the cookie cutters would be so popular...xD
