STORY-STRUCTURED videos need practice, and i will get practice.... eventually

btw i don't really like a certain argument going around. a style -is- owned by someone but a style is a distinctive pattern, effectless is a *tool* in a handyman's workbox. effectless is something everyone can do, just like everyone can do effects. to forge someone's style, it'd be like forging a signature. you need practice. forging a signature is forging a style. just using the same type of pen the person uses isn't copying. it's a *tool* to bring out the more subtle elements of the film and expose them raw. i mean come on u.u neravaira's effectless videos =/= newborn's effectless videos.

story structure is a technique, story structure is a *tool*. it's like cheese. if you walk into your friend's very successful diner and you open his menu and you say "by gods, you use cheese in everything", and you go home and you copy that idea and you also become succesful, people will invariably shout out "copy!"

... until they learn that your friend's wonderfully cheesy dishes are European, and that yours are all Asian.

effectless is a *tool*. story structure is a genre. between that, styles are made. i do not posess the fantastic sense of rhythm newborn has, nor do i cut my clips unexpectedly like hers, nor do i speed up and slow down with the frequency and dramatic air which she does.

learn to recognize the difference :D it will make us all so much happier that you can spot the subtle difference between an expert (her) and a amateur (me)
