I wasn't sure if Snow Summit would open back up due to the Line Fire but the Fire Fighters got the fire under control and the park was open for Closing Weekend. I was so stoked and got the hall pass to head up. To my surprise the crew was busy during the 3 weeks it was closed building new jumps and improving some old ones. What I mean by "improving" they made them much BIGGER.
Everyone was telling me about how much bigger and better the lips were but I didn't fully understand until I hit them. There were a few jumps that were bucky but all of those were fixed. All the jumps were so butter smooth. They were bigger, sent you higher but more importantly sent you to each transition perfectly.
As expected the lines were pretty long but both lifts were open and the jumps were so good it was worth the wait. It was cool because I was able to ride with so many friends that I normally dont get to see because I normally only ride weekdays. On one lap we had a train over 20 riders deep.
It was a great day and a perfect way to end the season. To be honest I was a little disappointed with the trail conditions for most of the season but this last day honestly made up for it.
