The Roland SP-404 is my new favourite thing!
It's the original ('OG') version, with the fabulous 'Vinyl Sim' effect that's missing from the later models. I bought a cheap, scratched up version from a lovely seller in Japan, and tracked down a brand new replacement case for it from another in Russia. A truly global beatbox for a Brave New World!
This is the first video on the 404 - a quick one to show how easy it is to fit a new faceplate and new knobs to get the unit back box-fresh. It's also the first recorded video I've done for ages - first of many I hope - but check out the live streams Ive been doing here on Sundays at 7pm and on Sonic State to see what I've been getting up to in the meantime.

SP-404 Faceplates and knobs are available from the amazing Xpowers Design on eBay:
