At this rodeo, held twice each year in the town of Cobano on the Nicoya peninsula of Costa Rica, bull riding is the least entertaining part of the problem. After the cowboy finishes his ride, the bull is left loose in the ring, which is filled with (mostly drunken) bullfighter wannabees. You've heard of slapping the bull on the ass? Well, the point of this rodeo seemed to be to slap the bull between the horns without getting gored or trampled. Some come fully equipped with bullfighters capes and fake swords; others just don super hero costumes, apparently convinced they are indestructible. At this rodeo, they carried two people out of the ring. Crazy!
