I've decided to play Rockman for SonicTheGamer666 again, because why not? Whether it's called Mega Man in the US or Rockman in Japan, the original game is honestly still pretty fun to play, even if it pales in comparison to the later Mega Man/Rockman titles.
Comparing this to the longplay I've done on the FC Compact Famiclone, I actually beat this game in a shorter timespan. Though that's probably because I died less often and knew the robot master's weaknesses better. Though, I've definitely died on Bomb Man's level more times than usual, but I eventually got the hang of making the jumps in that certain section I kept dying in. I also had to use 2 or 3 continues, because man, this game can still kick my butt with it's moments at times.
And yeah, I am playing this on the Power Games Famiclone, but it's the closest thing I got to a real Famicom due to not having the swapped duty cycles. Though, there's still some weird noise artifacts, not sure if that's due to being played on a Famiclone or the Rockman multicart variations having a specific issue like that, but eh, I guess I can't complain about that too much.
Oh, and I guess I forgot to mention that unfortunately, my Pocket Games multicart's shell broke due to refusing to insert into my Power Games. Sure, the main cartridge PCB still works, but now I don't have a shell to cover it properly. So yeah, thanks a lot Power Games... you penguin shaped Famiclone with the evil red eyes.
Played on the Pocket Games 150-in-1 Multicart.
