The Power Games Super Entertainment System starts it's new beginning on sonicthegamer666 with commentary! This was a Famiclone I purchased like, one or two months ago, but haven't showcased it until now. Originally, I was gonna showcase this on my last day of school or after graduation, but I decided to do it in-between since I said I was gonna do it for a while now in a Discord server. So yeah, here's the Power Games featuring me, Min3rR, Dingish, Fashioned Values, and GuyTheMind!
When I first opened this up though, of course I had to get a whiff of that chemical smell, and as for the controllers that came with it? The Power Games I got came with 2 black controllers, which remind me of the Prototype PS3, and PlayStation 1 controllers respectively, and yeah of course it came with a realistic looking lightgun. And as for the 2 controllers? Well, Player 1 only gets the wireless controller, and honestly, I don't even think it's that bad! Though, the buttons definitely confused me at first, and it does get a little warm on the grips when it's turned on, but I oddly like it that way and I'm hoping it doesn't catch on fire. Player 2 definitely feels much better I guess, which is why I saw in other, albeit not much reviews of this thing, people said they wished that Player 2 could be Player 1 as well, but unfortunately that ain't the case with this Famiclone, since unfortunately, you NEED to use the Player 1's wireless controller as the main one.
Oh, and speaking of catching on fire? The AC Adapter that came with this thing? Oh my god... it's one of the worst AC Adapters I ever got the risk of plugging in. I mean, it literally made a buzzing noise when I plugged it into my wall! So I knew not to trust, or even touch the Power Games' built-in AC Adapter ever again, so I used my FC Compact's AC Adapter instead, which thankfully worked even with the possibly different voltages.
The visuals were well, really bright and saturated on this Famiclone at first, but thankfully turning down OBS' contrast made it much better. And the audio, surprisingly, there's no reversed duty cycle issue! This surprised me, and even Min3rR upon first hearing it in Super Mario Bros, and so far, this is the only Famiclone with no reversed duty cycles that I own! With the fault of it being somewhat bass boosted, I guess.
So, the built-in games on this thing are about what you expect from a bootleg Famicom/Famiclone console, just stolen NES games with improper naming. Pyper Olympic and Cheallenger make sense, since despite the incorrect naming, they are actually Track & Field and Challenger (the former isn't 100% correct, but it's close enough, right?). As for Tenage Nutant and Ninja Guider, you may think it's one of the TMNT games and Ninja Gaiden, right? But no... it's T&C Surf Designs and Ninja Kid instead, which is just, really baffling and ridiculous, but I can't really complain about it. I spent the longest time playing Super Mario Bros. on the built-in cartridge, which is actually the LB35 bootleg of Super Mario Bros. with the corrupted Underwater and Castle Clear themes, and I even beat it albeit using the warp zone in World 4-2.
But yeah, this was just another really funny Famiclone thing with commentary I got to do, but it ain't over yet since I'm planning on doing a Part 2 with hopefully more people. Yeah, apparently OBS crashed when I was done with the Ms. Pac-Man footage, but considering many people left anyways, it didn't really matter that I stopped here, so yeah, a Part 2 will be coming soon.
