After my previous video on the disassembly and cleaning of a Rock Island 1911 for a standard cleaning i've been asked to provide a specific disassembly and cleaning of the slide, firing pin and associated hardware.

This begins with the safe clearing of the chamber and a compliment of my usual cleaning supplies.

We can see how while not regularly needed, over time, buildup in these areas can lead to reliability issues.
