We’re really excited to finally share something we’ve poured our hearts, souls, and countless hours into.
💥 Roboquest VR is OFFICIALLY LIVE! 💥
This project has been a HUGE labor of love. We lived and breathed this game long before development ever started. That passion is why our COO, Eric, flew across the world to Sweden, completely uninvited, just to knock on the publisher’s door and convince them that Roboquest belonged in VR.
We started Flat2VR Studios because we were tired of these lighter, more “tech demo” VR games and really wanted to bring the meaty, rich, games with huge amounts of depth to VR and the kind of replayability that keeps you coming back for hundreds of hours.
That’s exactly what Roboquest VR does:
⚡️ BLISTERING HYPER-MOBILITY We didn’t slow it down for VR. You are sliding, double-jumping, rail-grinding, and rocket-jumping at breakneck speeds. Stillness is death.
🔫 INSANE ARSENAL & TACTILE COMBAT Something like 100+ unique weapons—from muskets to sci-fi cannons. We carefully (and painstakingly) built manual reloading for every single one of them so the combat feels physical and real.
:tools: DEEP ROGUELITE CUSTOMIZATION This is where the “hundreds of hours” comes in. Between the classes, perks, and weapon affixes, there are thousands of build combinations. You can play this game for months and still find new synergies.
🤝 CO-OP IS COMING We know you want to shred bots with friends. 2-Player “Brobot” Co-op is confirmed and coming in a post-launch update soon!
🔥 VR Optimized Graphics. We put a TON of work changing out a chunk of the rendering engine from deferred to forward to get the game running as sharp as possible and reworked countless shaders to really get it running well in VR (optimized for PCVR, not standalone, though that is coming a little later)
