My RoboMow RS612 mowing a very small 15' x 19' (285 sq ft or 26 meters square) section of my front lawn. RoboMow FPV!
I have this section configured in my Robomow as Separated Zone A, 0-500 sq ft with a 68 ft perimeter. There's no base station in this zone, so I manually drive the RoboMow up the driveway from the backyard using the iPhone app remote control. Unfortunately, my house is very old and doesn't have an external AC outlet on the front of the house, so I use a Yeti 400 solar generator (basically a car battery with a built-in AC inverter and charge controller) to power the perimeter wire stake.
You might wonder why the RoboMow doesn't mow the left most portion of the yard. The reason is simple: the yard is too steep there. The RoboMow can handle the incline just fine. However, if the RoboMow stops it's routine in that section of the lawn it will freewheel off the stone wall! The RoboMow doesn't have a parking brake! I just get out a small and light reel mower and mow that section manually. Takes a minute or two.
The RS612 is rated to handle 1/4 acre. I personally have about .3 acres and it works just fine. It even mows around the wood piles in my backyard without complaint!
