I love single and private barrel whiskies, as I feel it can be the best, most honest way to see what a distiller is capable of. They're increasingly common with the big boys, but I've never seen a single or private barrel from Rittenhouse, the workhorse rye beloved by bartenders everywhere. I got my hands on a bottle and these are my thoughts.
